The Henry County Auditor is the chief fiscal officer of the county. The Auditor has the responsibility to keep the official record of all county government receipts and disbursements. The Auditor also estimates tax revenue for the commissioners and others. The auditor also prepares a detailed annual report of all revenue and expenditures by the fund under the rules of the state auditor.

Another responsibility of the Auditor is to assure that every parcel of land, buildings, and improvements are fairly and uniformly appraised and then assessed for tax purposes. The auditor will direct a general reappraisal of real property every six years with an update being performed during the third year after the reappraisal.

The Auditor also takes care of dog licenses, vendor licenses, mobile homes, and personal property tax.

The HCBDD provides life-long services to individuals living in Henry County with developmental disabilities.
Annually, HOPE Services provides or funds supports for approximately 400 people in Henry County.
Our agency employs 42 staff members that are committed to the Mission of the agency and focused on seeing potential and inspiring opportunities for all we serve.

As a dually authorized Community Improvement Corporation, this not-for-profit corporation has been organized for the purpose of advancing, encouraging, and promoting the industrial, economic, commercial, and research development of our local communities and of Henry county.

The mission of the CIC is to retain, expand, and attract capital investment and jobs to Napoleon and Henry County. Strategies used to implement our mission include the use and promotion of local, state, and federal; financial assistance, tax incentives, and training/technical assistance programs.

You can find us involved everywhere from events hosted by county Farm Bureaus to the halls of local, state, and federal government, advocating for policy that supports the future of farming. We are committed to improving the quality of life for residents of Henry County and northwest Ohio through health promotion, health education, and disease prevention. We are proud of our long history of public service and continue to strive to better serve our community. We work with many local, regional, and state partners to prevent disease and injury, promote wellness, and protect the health of all residents.

Henry County Health Department has a staff of approximately 34 full and part-time employees. A seven-member Board of Health oversees the operations and sets the policies of the Health Department. The Board appoints a Health Commissioner as its executive officer to direct the daily operations of the department and carry out all orders of the Board and the Ohio Department of Health.
