At Henry County Hospital Women’s Health, we provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological (OB/GYN) care to women throughout Napoleon and surrounding communities. From puberty through childbirth up to menopause, women’s health needs require specialized care throughout their lives.
That’s why Henry County Hospital offers a full spectrum of OB/GYN services for every season of a woman’s life. The Henry County Humane Society was formed in 1981, and began operating a full service animal shelter in 1984 from the County government’s building. in 1995, we acquired our own building and moved the shelter operations to the current location on Independence Drive. The purpose of the HCHS is the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of humane principles in our community. The animal shelter helps lost, abandoned, unwanted, abused and homeless animals by providing humane care and services to re-home animals or reunite lost and found animals with their rightful families. By requiring that all animals adopted from our shelter be spayed or neutered before going home, we are a part of the solution to the pet overpopulation problem in our area. We also provide humane agents to investigate complaints of animal cruelty and humane education for school children in the classroom and also our adult customers.

We serve all children, adults, and families who need protection from abuse, neglect, and exploitation; financial and economic support; their family relationships established, nurtured and continuum of education, prevention, and intervention services; strengths-based family assessment; direct services; and advocacy. Through the wise use of community resources and in collaboration with others, we provide a flexible process that promotes self-sufficiency while preserving dignity, privacy, and physical and emotional well-being.

The county recorder is the official keeper of real estate records for the county. It is this office’s function to provide protection to persons and property by recording a variety of legally essential documents. The recorder accepts: Deeds, Mortgages, Mechanic’s Liens, Powers of Attorney, Recognizance Bonds, IRS Liens, Corporate Franchise Liens, Subdivision Plats, Military Discharges, Worker’s Compensation Liens, Partnerships and other instruments for recording.
The county recorder also records all county and township zoning resolutions and amendments.
The Recorder serves a term of 4 years and is elected with the presidential election.
