Growing up in Putnam County, I developed an appreciation of living and serving others in a small town. Along the way, I’ve strived to build a reputation based on the values of my parents and grandparents. Living the values of faith, hard work, honesty, empathy and a willingness to go the extra mile have served me well at every step of my career. In 2018, I had the privilege of joining Edward Jones to serve Napoleon and Henry County. I chose to come to Edward Jones because they are a privately held company. We are always able to act in our clients’ best interests without conflicts of interest. My practice is centered completely on my clients’ goals and meeting my clients where they are on their journey.

By using an established process in my practice, I work to understand my client’s unique needs, comfort level with risk and their most important goals. I work hard at making sense of investing for my clients and I build personalized strategies and solutions to achieve their goals. I am privileged to partner together throughout their lives to keep them on track.

The services that we provide could not be done without my branch office administrator, Carolyn Heinrichs. Carolyn teamed up with me to give our clients prompt and personalized attention. Her warmth, skills and attention to details provide our clients an exceptional client experience.

On a personal note? My wife, Jill, and I have three children. Our family enjoys traveling, kayaking, golfing, volunteering, attending marching band events and experiencing Boy Scout high adventure trips. We are always up for an outdoor adventure.

Between myself and my senior BOA, Pam Fahringer, we have nearly 30 years’ experience working at Edward Jones. I was introduced to Edward Jones in 1990 as a client and then in 2006 joined the team as a financial advisor, making partner in 2015.
I am a graduate of Tiffin University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Prior to my time with Edward Jones, my brother and I owned Herman’s Clothing in downtown Napoleon for twelve years. The experience and knowledge I gained during that time offers me a unique perspective for clients whom are building a financial future with their business in mind.

Since 1897…
The Farmers & Merchants State Bank has always had a special commitment to the growth of Northwest Ohio since its inception in 1897. The only name change in our history was in 1919, when the founding directors elected to change from a private bank to a state chartered bank. At that time, the name changed from Farmers and Merchants Bank to The Farmers & Merchants State Bank.

The F&M headquarters has always been in Archbold, Fulton County, Ohio. F&M began expanding its presence in Fulton County in 1973 by opening a full service office on North Shoop Avenue in Wauseon, Ohio. By the end of the 1980s, F&M had four full service offices in Fulton County.

Expansion of the Bank into Williams County began in 1981, with the opening of the Stryker and West Unity offices. By the end of the 1986, F&M had five offices in Fulton County and three offices in Williams County. F&M further expanded in the 1990s by opening an office in Henry County. During 2001, F&M opened an office in Defiance County, and in 2003 we opened our Operations Center in Fulton County.

Today…
F&M has 19 offices and over 33 ATMs located in Fulton, Williams, Henry, Defiance, Lucas, and Wood counties in Ohio, as well as DeKalb and Steuben Counties in Indiana. Toward the end of 2007, F&M opened a new office in Perrysburg and expanded into Indiana with offices in Butler and Auburn. In August 2008, F&M opened a new full service office in Angola, Indiana. In July of 2010, F&M expanded into Hicksville, Ohio. The addition of Hicksville fits well within the bank’s ”footprint”, filling the space between F&M’s Defiance and Auburn offices while increasing our presence in Defiance County, Ohio.

F&M continues to serve the financial needs of individuals, farmers, businesses, and industries by offering the traditional banking products, as well as internet and telephone banking products. Our online products and EZ Access Line allow access to account information and fund transfers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
