Henry County Christmas Parade

Arts and Culture, Community, Holiday

Location: Downtown Napoleon

The Henry County Christmas Parade will take place 5 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Napoleon, Ohio.
This parade, after all, is scheduled to take place while the sun is setting, making it favorable to both unlit and illuminated entries.
Following the parade, officials will present the Snow Prince and Princess and light the community Christmas tree and city lights.

Join the Magic of the Season: Henry County’s Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting!
Mark your calendars, because Henry County’s most beloved holiday tradition is back! Maumee Valley Civic Theater (MVCT) is proud to present the Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 23, 2024, beginning at 5:00 PM. This year promises to be extra special, with a brand-new route and an exciting lineup of festive activities that will unite the community and kick off the holiday season in style.
The parade will begin at the intersection of W. Main and W. Perry Streets, continue down Main Street, turn onto W. Washington Street, and end in front of the iconic Henry County Courthouse. At the end of the parade, the Snow Prince and Princess will be recognized, and the festivities will culminate with the lighting of the community Christmas tree – a moment you won’t want to miss!
Jeffrey Tonjes, President of MVCT, shared his excitement: “It’s essential to Maumee Valley Civic Theater to continue this time-honored tradition, and there’s no better way to experience it than with your whole family just before Thanksgiving. This event brings the community together and helps us kick off the holiday season with joy and excitement.”
This year’s parade route has been modified for safety, ensuring a secure and festive atmosphere for everyone involved. “The safety of our parade-goers is our top priority,” Tonjes explained, referencing input from the Napoleon Police Chief, who voiced concerns about the previous route.
Now it’s your turn to get involved! Help us spread holiday cheer by decorating a car, truck, trailer, or semi-truck with lights, signs, balloons, and music. Feel free to walk or ride along, and hand out candy or discount coupons to parade-goers. This is a wonderful opportunity to show your holiday spirit and bring a smile to the faces of your neighbors.
Ready to participate? Sign up today by visiting www.mvctohio.org or calling (419) 581-9011.
