Napoleon Halloween Parade

Join the Rotary and Lions Club for their annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest!
Kids from toddler to 8th grade are welcome. Parade begins at 5:30 with judging and prizes to follow!

Line up time is at 5:30 p.m. at the Charles Buckenmeyer Stadium, when judging will commence. The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. The participants will make a partial lap around the track and line-up on the field to be awarded PRIZES FOR BEST COSTUMES!
The Groups will be judged as follows:

Kindergarten
1st Grade
2nd Grade
3rd Grade
4th Grade
Grades 5 & 6
Grades 7 & 8
Group Entries
At the end of the parade, all participants can enjoy cider and donuts at the concession stand west of the home bleachers!

Humane Society Bingo

Since 1998, the HCHS has been successfully operating a State licensed bingo game to help keep our shelter operating. This is important to our shelter as we receive no county or state funding. Players and volunteers are always welcome!
Monday nights @ the Filling Home Community Center- 470 Independence Drive, Napoleon, Ohio.
Doors open at 5pm – games start at 7pm.
Must at least 18 years of age for entry. You must play bingo or volunteer to be present. Volunteers may arrive as early as 4PM to assist with set up. (Please contact us in advance if you choose to help with set up.)

Keeping Our Girls Safe Self-Defense Class at HC Hospital

Keeping Our Girls Safe (KOGS)

Classes are recommended for women 16+ years old. Participants can wear everyday clothes to the class and are asked to come 15 minutes prior to the start of your registered class to sign release forms. The instructors for the class are two highly trained law enforcement officers from local police departments. Deadline to register is October 22.

Keeping Our Girls Safe Legacy & Vision

On July 19, 2016, Sierah Joughin went for a bicycle ride in rural northwest Ohio. Sierah was kidnapped less than 500 feet from her home and it was later learned that she had been murdered by a previously convicted violent offender.

Keeping Our Girls Safe’s is a grass roots organization created by the Kolasinski family (Sierah’s long-time boyfriend Josh’s family) to Honor Sierah’s legacy. KOGS advocates; educates; engages and empowers against violence towards women.

Trick or Treat in Hamler

Join in a Halloween Celebration! To keep Trick or Treaters safe the main portion of town will have local Fire Department Volunteers at the beginning and ending of town. Those houses inside of that area are welcome to turn on their lights and participate in traditional trick or treating. Those outside of that area please join local businesses downtown for Trunk style treating. Those wishing to set up for trunk style treating please arrive before 5:15 for set up to avoid safety issues. Let’s come together and show the kids a great time and strong community!
