Rudy’s Runners 5K Run or Walk

Location: Holgate School, 801 E Joe E Brown Ave, Holgate, OH 43527

Sixth Annual Rudy’s Runners 5K will be held Saturday June 28th – the morning of Eye to the Skies in Holgate.

This race was started with the Rudy Casillas family as a memorial 5K in Rudy’s honor.

Rudy Casillas was an active runner and marathoner from Holgate Ohio and was seen daily running around town.

Funds raised this year from the 5K will continue to go the Rudy’s Runner Memorial Scholarship, which is for Holgate High School seniors who ran cross country or track.

The race will run through the streets of Holgate.

Packet Pickup starts at 8AM day of the race.

We will have race day registration allowed, but no shirt guarantee after June 20th. Register early to guarantee a t-shirt!

**Cash Prizes for top female and male finisher**

Start and Finish line will be at the track at Holgate High School

We have some exciting news! Our annual March 5K is moving to the morning of July 5, which means warmer days and more time to train! The new X&A Fun Day which coordinates with the Deshler Fireworks Celebration includes a full day of events for you and your family to enjoy!
Here’s what you can expect:
– Start your day with the X&A 5K, Fun Run, and Memorial Walk at Village Park, a perfect way to get moving and honor Xavier and Aidan.
– Next Up…the X&A 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament – Join us in the afternoon for some friendly competition in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Pirate Park.
– Then head over to the Deshler American Legion to enjoy some food and fun sponsored by the Legion!

Malinta Community Historical Society Open House

Location: Malinta Community Historical Society, 112 N Henry St, Malinta, OH 43535

The mission of the organization is to discover, preserve and share the history of Malinta Village and Monroe Township in Henry County, Ohio. The railroad museum site on Henry Street in Malinta connects us to our past. The collection includes a restored 1885 Nickel Plate Road (NKP) depot, a 1952 DT&I caboose, a NKP speeder car and a NKP Maintainer Shanty. Each historic structure is filled with memorabilia relating to the railroad and the community’s history. It is open during community events and by appointment.

Liverpool Lads live in Holgate

Based in Northeast Ohio, The Liverpool Lads have been entertaining and surpassing audience expectations at various venues since 2009. Whether it’s a corporate event, nightclub, private party or public concert, it’s always a thrill to perform for and meet audiences of all ages! The Lads pack as much Beatles music from 1962 – 1970 as possible into our shows. You can expect the hits, but we also perform B sides and album cuts in our shows. We perform in costume and use replica vintage instruments. The Liverpool Lads are four dedicated musicians who give it their all for Beatles fans every time out.

Four Corners Heritage Center Open House
